That is what hooked me! Dad read us The Srcret Garden when we were very young! It was my mom's favorite story - not a story book - but the entire novel was read after weary hours at the farm. I still hear him, sometimes struggling to stay awake

! I dreamt of Mary and Colin tending the garden and seeing the sickness leave the withered limbs of starved trees and untrusted legs. Ben's praise of God's miraculous acts through his spontaneous offering of the Doxology! We played out every chapter, taking each character in turn. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
